Worlds Diaries
This year (2005) we have a new feature for Junior Worlds. We will have diaries from people involved in the event. While the large web sites concentrate on pro riders, we will (if plans work out) have a rider and a parent providing diary entries. It’s not too late for another diarist to volunteer.
Robert Leroux is from the greater Montreal area in Quebec Canada. He is a track cycling enthusiast and father of a 16 year old Junior racer (sprinter) named Lawrence on the Canadian team in Vienna. He says: “Writing as a diarist will help me calm my nerves when my son will sprint at full speed on the track. I will try to export a little of the Vienna Worlds ambiance to your readers so that they can follow their favorite riders.”
Kim Geist of Emmaus, PA is a member of the USA team for Junior Worlds for the second year. She has provided diaries covering Junior Worlds for both Track and Road.
Thanks to the diarists, who (like me) are totally unpaid and do this for your enjoyment and information. Their text and images should be considered their property. Requests to use it elsewhere can be left as a comment on this page and I will forward them to the author.
