Anthony: I have set your account to "author" status. It will be great to have another author, especially since you are based at one of the country's top tracks.

Can you give my Write privileges? I am a photographer who has a son who is a cyclist. He races road, track, and cross. I am from the Trexlertown, PA area and spend a lot of time at the LV Velodrome, aka Valley Preferred Cycling Center. I definitely have a lot of news based on first-hand knowlege and I definitely have an abundance of photos. The first article I'd like to post is about the LV Velodrome Spring Opener they had yesterday.

Thanks,

Anthony

Thanks for the improved velodrome lists. I have added a couple to my velodrome database and map. I looked for all of them, but couldn't find all the locations on Google Earth. Anyone who knows the latitude and longitude (or perhaps a complete street address) for a missing velodrome is invited to let me know here.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

EJ’s Place giving back to junior bike racing in Illinois

(Chicago, Illinois – September 13, 2007) - In an effort to help support and grow junior cyclocross racing in the area; EJ Lenzi, local restaurant owner and well respected member of the local cycling community will be sponsoring the junior series part of the Chicago Cyclocross Cup. With this sponsorship junior racers (10 – 18 years) will race free of charge in the Chicago Cyclocross Cup. EJ believes that Cyclo cross racing allows kids of all abilities to try their hand at bicycle racing in a fun and supportive environment.

The Chicago Cyclocross Cup is in the planning stages and anticipates hosting races during the fall and early winter.

About EJs Place: EJs began its roots in 1997 and has become the North Shore’s premiere supper club establishment. The menu consists of prime aged steaks and chops, pristine seafood, and traditional Italian specialties. Chicago Magazine ranked EJs as the Best New Restaurant in 1997. (http://www.ejsplaceskokie.com)

About Chicago Cyclocross Cup: the Chicago Cyclocross Cup was started in 2004 by a group of ‘crossers from local teams that had a strong desire to race in their neighborhood. They spoke to other people who had similar goals and before you knew it a series was born. While the series will vary from year to year, you can expect great new venues with spectacular support and all the fun that you expect at a ‘cross race. The goal of the group is to create a series that a rider can enjoy great competition and lively courses. (http://www.chicrosscup.com)

Dave,

I see that you got one picture uploaded. The one thing I can think of is that the system has a limit on the file size you can upload. I believe it's 1 MB or maybe 900 KB. Can you try resizing you pictures to 1/3 of original size (in pixels) before uploading? That should still leave enough detail to look good on the web.
